Goals for 2026

Table of contents

I'm writing this at the beginning of January, and I think it's the perfect time to sit down and really think about what I want to achieve this year. 2025 was a great year with a lot of traveling, learning, and growing, but now I feel like I need to focus on something different: stability.

I've spent the last few years moving around, and trying a lot of different things. It was fun, and I learned so much from it. But I also realized that sometimes, you need to slow down to actually go faster. This year is about building solid foundations.

Finding My Edge in Bug Bounty

One of my main goals this year is to finally find my key skill in bug bounty. I've been doing this for a while now, but I still feel like I'm a generalist. I can find bugs in different areas, but I don't have that one thing where I can say "this is where I'm the best." I want to change that.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Some hunters are amazing at web stuff, others are killing it with mobile apps or APIs. I need to find my own specialization, the thing that makes me stand out. It's not easy because I enjoy exploring different areas, but I think having a clear focus will help me go deeper and find more interesting bugs.

More Pentests

At the same time, I want to do more pentests this year. The idea is pretty simple: pentesting gives me stable income on the side, and it allows me to use bug bounty as a "side" activity rather than relying on it for everything. When you depend only on bug bounty for income, it can be stressful. Some months are great, others are not. Having pentests as a stable base can be game changer for me.

I want to build a workflow that makes sense, something sustainable. That also means reworking my personal branding at the beginning of the year. I need a clear website with my offers, a proper visual identity, and a professional setup that makes it easy for clients to understand what I can do for them.

The goal is to have a nice balance: pentests for stability, bug bounty for the fun and the potential big wins. I think this combination can work really well if I set it up properly.

Hardware Hacking

This is something completely new for me, and I'm pretty excited about it. I've always been curious about hardware hacking, looking at devices, understanding how they work, and finding vulnerabilities in physical stuff. It's a whole different world from web security, and I think it can be nice to take a look.

I don't have huge expectations here. I just want to explore, learn the basics, and see what opportunities come from it. Maybe it becomes something big, maybe it stays a hobby. I think it's important to keep learning new things and not get stuck in the same patterns.

Health and Running

I'm not stopping with the sport stuff. Actually, I'm going further this year. In March, I'm running an 80km trail, which is pretty scary but also super motivating. I've been training for it, and I feel like I'm ready. It's going to be tough, but that's kind of the point.

And maybe I'll do a marathon at the end of the year. I haven't decided yet, but I like having these big challenges to work towards. Running has become such an important part of my life, and I want to keep pushing myself.

The daily goal is simple: keep doing sport almost every day. Gym, running, calisthenics, whatever. This habit has become so important for me, and I don't want to lose it. When I exercise regularly, everything else in my life works better.

Same with eating well. I've been doing good on that for a while now, and I want to keep it going. No crazy diets, just eating clean and being consistent. It's not complicated, but it makes a difference.

Less Traveling

This one is quite different from the last couple of years. I traveled a lot in 2024 and 2025. It was amazing, and I don't regret any of it. But this year, I want to calm down a bit.

The plan is to stay mostly in France until September. Maybe some small trips in Europe, maybe exploring some parts of France I haven't seen yet, but nothing crazy. No long trips to Asia or America, at least not in the first part of the year. After September, we'll see. Maybe I'll travel more at the end of the year, but I want to keep the first nine months pretty chill.

I want to put money aside. I want my work to be more stable, to have a routine that allows me to focus on what matters. When you're constantly moving, it's hard to be consistent. Different time zones, different environments. It's exciting, but it can also be exhausting and make it harder to do deep work.

AI and Automation

I've been getting more and more into AI tools lately, and I'm honestly amazed by what's possible now. Claude Code, Superwhisper, Cursor, and a bunch of other stuff. These tools have completely changed how I work.

I'm using AI to develop my projects, and it works pretty well. Things that used to take me hours now take minutes. It's not perfect, you still need to know what you're doing, but it's massive.

I also want to use AI to automate things in bug bounty. I think there's a lot of potential here that most people are not exploring yet. The more I can automate the boring stuff, the more time I have for the interesting parts, the actual hacking.

This is something I want to focus on seriously this year. Building my own tools, my own workflows, using AI to make everything more efficient. I think the hunters who figure this out will have a massive advantage.

Hackyx

Hackyx is still alive. I've had some new ideas lately, and I want to rebuild it in a different way. The original concept was good, but the execution needed some work. I'll come back with something better, something that makes more sense and actually solves the problems I was trying to solve.

I'm not giving up on this project. I believe in it, and I think it can become something useful for the community. It just needs more time and a fresh approach.

Caido Ambassador and Community

On the opportunities side, being a Caido Ambassador is opening doors for me. Caido is an amazing tool, and I'm happy to be part of the team in this way. It means I might give some talks, do some workshops, create content around the tool.

It's one of the best parts of this job. You meet incredible people, you learn from them, and you get to help others on their journey. Being an ambassador gives me more opportunities to do that.

Critical Thinking Podcast

I also started writing the HackerNotes for the Critical Thinking podcast, and it's been super cool. It's another opportunity, another piece of work that adds up with everything else. I get to listen to interesting conversations, extract the key insights, and share them with the community.

All these small things combined will help me go further in all my other projects.

Finances

This year is about saving money. I've never been great at this, to be honest. When I make money, I tend to spend it. Travel, gear, experiences. It's fun, but it's not sustainable in the long term.

I want to finally start investing, even if it's small at first. The goal is to build something for the future instead of just spending everything.

The combination of doing more pentests, traveling less, and being more careful with spending should help me put a nice amount aside this year.
