Privacy, finally solo and procrastination
• publicTable of contents
Since the beginning of the week, my friend left Japan, and I'm now solo here, ready to be back working.
And even if I'm alone, I start procrastinating and looking a lot at YouTube videos. But I need to come back to work.
Privacy
These past weeks, I read so many interesting books about security and cryptography like "Serious Cryptography", "Real-World Cryptography" and more recently "Security Engineering" by Ross Anderson.
That was so interesting, and I learned so much about how things work in the backend and how cryptography can be useful everywhere.
At first, I thought that specializing in it would be quite useless in bug bounty, but I discovered so many parts of apps where this is useful that I'm more than exciting continuing in this field.
But by reading them, I also learned a lot about privacy stuff and how data are handled by some companies. I was already aware of all of them, but not at this point. Having a technical background was very interesting and I started to dig deep into all of the websites and technologies I use every day.
So by now, I'm looking at some alternative to some app I used and I'm looking more about how I handle my stuff.
And as a minimalist in the real world, I'm also doing it digitally by not using a lot of different apps.
Being solo and procrastinating
Since the beginning of the week, I've been back solo in Tokyo, mainly for work.
And I'm starting to find back my routine, but it was hard at first. I started procrastinating a lot, doing other useless stuff, and not working on my projects.
The why was simply that I didn't give me any goals or stuff to do. Of course, I have a lot of stuff to work on, but without a schedule or a plan, nothing will be made for sure.
Now that my goal is to find a flat when going back to France, I need some money to handle it and have a good amount to buy all the stuff I need.
So I made a list of all my dream stuff I want to get for my home, and where, and I got a goal amount of money to achieve that. I now know what to do to achieve it and I have time to work on it.
